The Act sets the minimum wage for Adult employees.
There is a “Starting Out” rate for 16 and 17 year olds entering the workforce; and 18 and 19 year olds who have been on a benefit for six months or more.
And there is a “Training Rate” for employees over 20 years of age who are required to undergo training for the purpose of being qualified in their occupation.
